🇮🇹 “Da sola ha raccolto i frammenti, ha scoperto come rimetterli insieme e poi li ha incollati con cura l’uno all’altro, uno a uno. Alla fine l’immagine è ricomposta, ma non è più la stessa di prima. Adesso è più imperfetta, e più preziosa. “Tutto è nato da un sogno” - ha dichiarato la regista - ecco far sognare è uno dei modi privilegiati attraverso cui i morti si prendono cura dei vivi. I sogni, i piccoli racconti, l’invenzione di altre dimensioni del tempo e dello spazio, le lettere immaginarie - attraverso l’attivazione del pensiero magico - permettono alla madre dell’autrice di vivere ancora attraverso quest’opera, potente, unica, struggente e originale. Il film riesce a creare le condizioni per instaurare la sua esistenza, in un nuovo modo di essere, attraverso forme di narrazione che resuscitano. Non solo un modo per provare ad elaborare una perdita ma anche il desiderio di far rivivere la persona cara attraverso immagini piene di vita, di opporsi al tempo e alla morte, di renderla eterna.”

🇬🇧 “All alone, she collected the fragments, discovered how to put them back together, and then paste them together with care, one by one. In the end, the image is recomposed, but it isn’t the same image as before. It is now more imperfect, and more precious.In the director’s words, “It all started with a dream”, and sending dreams is one of the preferred ways through which the dead take care of the living. The dreams, the short stories, the invention of other dimensions of time and space, the imaginary letters - through the activation of magical thinking - allow the author’s mother to live again, through this powerful, unique, heart breaking and original film. The film itself creates the conditions to re-establish her existence, in a new form of being, through resuscitating narrative forms. Not only an attempt to try and grieve, but also the wish to make a loved one live again through images full of life, to resist time and death, to make her eternal. “
